Knowle West Media Centre will be holding its first ever Gaming & Anime Expo, with two full days of gaming, anime workshops and activities for all ages, including:
– Retro Video Gaming: from Sega Mega Drives and Nintendos to Ataris and more…
– Computer Hack: join a team of creatives as we take apart some old computers and consoles and transform them into tech-art masterpieces.
– Manga Drawing: some of the city’s finest artists will be on hand delivering workshops. You’ll have a chance to bring or create your own manga characters and stories and have them published with our partners.
– Anime chill-out zone: watch some of your favourites anime films.
– Lightsabre Combat Workshop: Ludosport is the first and only international academy for competitive Lightsabre combat – enjoy a demo and learn some top tips for Lightsabre combat.
– Cosplay: come dressed as your favourite characters and be in with a chance of winning the KWMC Cosplay grand prize!
– Merchandise Area: pick up some authentic merchandise from our indie city stores.
Early entry: 10am-2pm (free Krispy Kreme donuts!)
Afternoon entry: 2pm-6pm (free Krispy Kreme donuts!)
Evening entry: 6pm-10pm (free nibbles, beer/wine after 8pm)
Free entry for under 18s (under 11s must be accompanied by an adult)
Adult tickets just £5
Ages 9-12 from 10am – 12noon & 1-3pm (bring your own lunch)
Ages 13-18 from 4-8pm
Activities on Wednesday are for under 18s only; no tickets are required
